The Africans experience in America hasn’t been documented in literary form in quite some time. Since the days of “The Harlem Renaissance” the African diaspora in America hasn’t upheld that level of great writing outside of lustful and action packed novels by some of today’s best selling authors. “Mixed thoughts” will offer quite a change of pace to the previously mentioned norm of black literature expressing the wide array of emotions from everyday monotonous happenings to fictional and non-fictional calls to action.
